An illumiFacial® is a highly successful ‘Photofacial’ treatment which provides dramatic results improving skin tone and appearance, helping your skin to feel and look its best. It is a completely non-invasive treatment, using a unique combination of specialist Lynton skincare together with powerful Lynton medical-grade IPL technology to provide you with ‘optimum skin health.’

When my clients come into clinic with thread vessels and pigmentation, sun damage or discolouration, I have no hesitation in prescribing the illumiFacial®.

The results are so effective and visibly noticeable that it has become a popular treatment to perform. Clients love their clearer, fresher, younger-looking complexion which also works on improving fine lines, wrinkles and the texture of their skin.

As our skin starts to age at 24 years, this is a great facial to slow the ageing process which also improves hydration, smooths & tightens and reduces breakouts.

Like me, if you are not keen on injectables this facial is certainly, the best alternative to facial fillers I have come across and the results last longer. This is because this IPL photofacial stimulates your body’s own natural processes, increasing the speed and cell turn over at which your skin works, increasing collagen and elastin and improving the overall skin health and function.

Equally, although there are many other high-end facials out there, they are not medical grade and often driven by celebrities who have had various and numerous facials, fillers and surgery so the results of their faces do not represent one treatment. I always take celebrity led treatments with a pinch of salt. I have found these facials to be more expensive with less impressive results.

Am I suitable for an illumiFacial®?

Treatment is perfect for anyone whose skin exhibits congestion, discolouration and visible signs of ageing. A full consultation is completed prior to treatment to ascertain suitability and individual treatment needs. A full treatment plan (for rejuvenation with or without vascular and/or pigment) will then be tailored to treat your specific concerns all aiming to improve the appearance, feel and health of your skin.

Four steps to the illumiFacial® treatment:

1. Cleanse

The first step in achieving clear, healthy, radiant skin involves a deep cleanse, using a specialist formulation to remove any impurities.

2. Tri-Fruit Acid Peel

A unique Tri-Fruit Acid Lynton Fruit Peel is be applied to your skin, for anywhere between 3 – 10 minutes. This peel resurfaces skin texture and decongests pores, priming the skin ready for stage 3 of illumiFacial®.

3. Lynton IPL

Now the skin is at its optimum condition for the application of the Lynton Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment. This works by both stimulating collagen and targeting any discolouration on your skin, e.g., freckles, pigmentation, vascular, breakouts, general redness. In some cases, the results are instant, providing you with dramatically clearer, firmer skin.

4. Hydrate & Protect

To help maximise the results of the illumiFacial® treatment, a trio of specialist serums is applied to the skin post-IPL, helping soothe, regenerate and protect the skin.
