One effective way I find helps me relieve stress, is to use a simple 3-minute breathing exercise which can be repeated during your day, where-ever you are.
Explained below is HOW, WHY AND WHO SHOULD DO IT…
The 3-minute deep breathing stress buster
HOW TO DO IT:
- Sit, stand or lay in a comfortable position hands rested on your knees or at your side, close your eyes and exhale.
- Inhale through your nose steadily whilst mentally counting to 5 and expanding your belly as much as is comfortable (Imagine you are inhaling calm, filling your lungs and belly with air at the same time).
- Exhale through your mouth steadily whilst mentally counting to 5 (Imagine you are exhaling all your stress) and repeat for 3 minutes.
WHY DO IT?
It can be good for:
Relieving stress, anxiety and panic
Reducing blood pressure
Aid pain relief
Improve sleep
Increase cardiovascular capacity
WHO IS IT GOOD FOR?
