About the Founder – Tina Arnot
I have spent my whole career within the Medical Profession.
With a passion for caring, NHS Pharmacy was a great place for me to work in all departments of Dispensary and Aseptic’s.
I predominately spent my pharmacy career in Aseptic’s as a Senior Technician making medicines from scratch for patients requiring chemotherapy, Total Parenteral Nutrition (feed bags), Radio Pharmacy and Specials, where everything else was made from scratch such as tablets, suspensions, lotions, creams and ointments.
Latterly I was the Principle Technician at Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital & Lecturer at Edinburgh’s Telford College for 4 years before retiring from Pharmacy after 15 very happy years dedicated to making people better.
My Pharmacy career enabled me to work in many fabulous places such as London, Kent, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Sydney in Australia.
In 2007 I re-trained and qualified as a dental nurse and I am still a registered dental nurse.
Undergoing this training allowed me to become the Business Manager at Bridge of Allan Dental Care. A dental practice owned by my husband and a fabulous place to work with highly skilled professionals who work hard in helping their patients achieve their goal in loving their smile. It’s a small family run Dental Practice where staff and patients are treated like family.
In 2017 I decided I wanted to take on an additional role of my own, to be at the forefront of helping clients achieve instant results with long term effects.
With a personal interest in Laser and Light treatments I could see the huge benefits and relief these treatments have on a persons’ well-being not only for their self-esteem but also their confidence and the happiness it creates.
This is where the idea of helping clients improve their skin and be happy came from and eventually the name Skin Happy was born.
I qualified as an Aesthetic Therapist with the VTCT Level 4 qualification in laser and Light Treatments in 2018.
To further my education in skin I then went on to gain the CIBTAC Level 3 Certificate in The Principles of Cosmetic Practice.
Coincidentally I embarked on this career just as regulations were coming into place for working with Lasers and Lights. It is now a legal requirement to be qualified with the Level 4 (as mentioned above).
I was the 1st of a small group of 5 to Qualify with the VTCT Level 4 under the new regulations and the very first person to qualify with the new CIBTAC Level 3 qualification in the UK.
With a hunger to learn more about skin, skin care and skin treatments I am now embarking on additional qualifications to further my knowledge and improve my expertise.
